How Profitable is the Bull Rental Business? Meet Omar and Mike!

If you are reading this now, it means you are considering purchasing a mechanical bull to start your own bull rental business. Congrats! Making this decision is the first step to achieving it. A question we often get is how profitable is the bull rental business really? And the answer ultimately depends on you.

We have had various customers purchase our bulls to start their own rental business and have all succeeded at different levels. For example, Omar from Country Bull Rentals, works full time, and decided to invest in a bull to make some extra cash on the side. He currently only schedules rentals for Saturdays at a premium price of $200/hour. This pricing helps him lower the amount of potential clients, but it does not decrease his profit, as he typically makes anywhere from $800 to $1200 in a weekend.

Another customer, Mike from Rodeo Toro Bull Rentals, dedicates himself full time to the mechanical bull rental business and so he typically has 2-3 rentals a week. Mike prices his rentals at an all day rental for $600. This pricing helps get clients interested and constantly contacting him for events. Since Mike is full-time dedicated to this, he is able to take on as many events as contact him. Typically - a week he will make anywhere from $1,200 to $1,800.

Both these examples are successful because they are setting their own terms on how to do things. The potential to grow as much or as little as you want is entirely up to you. If you feel ready to take that next step, contact us and we’ll help you get started.
